Paul originally started teaching the Guitar & Music at Ilkeston school (Derbyshire) shortly after two of his private guitar students there both achieved A* for their GCSE music exams through extra private tuition with him. He was later accredited in 1999 - by the Music Head of South East Derbyshire Education Authority 'Phillip King' and merited as an excellent teacher (the highest award given). He tutored the Guitar in many Primary / Secondary schools & Colleges in Ilkeston, Duffield, Heanor, Long Eaton, Sawley, Ockbrook, Stapleford, Sandiacre, Littleover, Oakwood, Spondon, Wollaton, Beeston & Nottingham areas.

He left the music partnership in 2002 after gaining several commissions to compose the music for a series of Films for two Independent London Film Companies. Two of the films ('Skeleton Crew' & 'The Grave' - Futuristic Films, London) circulated around the US & European Film festivals winning several Awards, most notably at the New York, San fansisco & Cannes Film Festivals and closer to home at the Raindance film festival, London.

Together with private teaching, he works as a freelance producer (& occasionally composer) for the BBC, & Commercially producing all of the National Trust's Radio Adverts. He works mainly from his studio in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
Music is a life long study and he continues to study Music, Guitar & greater matters of Universal importance - always learning new tehniques and developing his skills & knowledge.
